Hazel Rose
Hazel Rose, winner of 2014’s Assay Office Birmingham prize for Best Commercial Design, has just graduated with a BA (Hons) in Jewellery and Silversmithing Design for Industry, from the School of Jewellery in Birmingham.
Hazel is a young talented jeweller whose home is on the Isle of Colonsay. She has always been passionate about designing and making using any materials, even found objects off the beach.
When playing with silver wire Hazel discovered beautiful linear patterns and forms which curved, flowed and twisted into attractive designs for her latest collections. All pieces are skilfully hand made using eco silver.
Now based in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter where she has a small shared workshop, Hazel frequently goes home to Colonsay where the peaceful environment helps her to be creative and inspirational.
