"I am an artist and illustrator living in the Shetland Isles. I am mostly influenced by the people and creatures amongst my surroundings and trying to capture glimpsed moments of interaction.
I work creating paper cuts of Island life.
I like to head outside with my sketchbook to capture colours, textures, shapes and landscapes and then work on these ideas back in my studio.
I studied at Manchester Polytechnic at the end of the eighties and achieved a BA [Hons] Degree in Textile Design. For a while I focused on knitwear design whilst raising a family and supplementing this with other work."
